Not being able to speak is not the same as not having
anything to say. -Rosemary Crossley
Our team of speech and language pathologists provides exemplary, evidence based speech and language services to children of all abilities. They believe that functional communication is essential to leading the best possible life. They also believe that speech therapy should be fun and that children can have fun while learning new skills. Although we specialize in serving children with autism, our speech therapy team provides speech and language services to children, adolescents, and young adults with many different needs and diagnoses.
*Alternatives ABA has the capability to do AAC evaluations and welcomes clients in need of an expedited evaluation.
Occupational therapy is designed to help children and young adults acquire or regain the skills needed to perform the activities—or “occupations”—of daily life. These activities of daily living include tasks such as dressing, self-feeding, handwriting, and playing on the playground with peers. Each child’s treatment plan is individually tailored to focus on improving the building blocks needed to achieve success in their daily activities. These underlying “building block” skills include fine motor skills, gross motor coordination, bilateral integration, motor planning, sensory processing, body and spatial awareness, visual-perceptual skills, postural control and stability, and self-regulation. At Alternatives ABA we are passionate about collaborating with children and their families to help kids reach their personal goals and developmental milestones through a fun, play-based approach.
Alternatives ABA respects and values the opinions of other clinicians and welcomes clients of other ABA providers. We will work to coordinate care with any and all providers, with permission.
