Our ABA therapy, speech, and occupational therapy clinicians have mastered the delicate balance between science and compassion required to treat your whole child — not just their diagnosis.
We’ll work with your family to provide the education and support you need while giving your child the direct treatment they need. We have two goals: that you and your child will look forward to ABA therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy … and that someday, you will no longer need us.

Get Your Child’s Assessment
Our clinical team will schedule an assessment with you and your child to give you the best options for care at Alternatives ABA.
After their assessment, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will create your child’s personalized treatment plan.
ABA Therapy and More at Alternatives ABA
Whether your child needs home-, community-, or center-based ABA therapy (or a combination of the three), our skilled BCBAs are prepared to deliver intensive one-on-one care crafted especially for them.
Our highly specialized providers focus on speech delays, language challenges, or other skill deficits to enable your child to communicate their feelings, desires, and ideas.
Occupational Therapy (OT)
Your child may need OT to address feeding, sensory, or oral-motor coordination challenges. Our specialists cleverly combine these techniques in a way that’s natural and enjoyable.
Children receive intensive one-on-one ABA therapy at our center where they’re exposed to peers and playrooms for socialization. Some of the many features our centers have are trampolines, swings, toys, a cardio gym for our older kiddos, and an outdoor play area for all to enjoy.*
*Different centers have different features.
Telehealth ABA Therapy
Our ABA therapy experts are just as skilled and animated when delivering ABA, speech therapy, and occupational therapy remotely as they are inside our center and in the home.
Pre-K and Kindergarten Readiness Programs
Our simulated pre-school area and targeted school prep curricula are steeped in functional communication and use ABA therapy to help prepare kids for preschool and kindergarten.
Social and Functional Living Skills Programs
For older kids and young adults that need supplementary support with essential life skills, we teach self-care, socialization, money management, job preparation, and household maintenance skills.
We Empower Parents

Our Vision: A World Where All Childrens’ Strengths Are Recognized
The central focus of our practice is one-on-one intensive, evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. We provide a roster of additional services, including speech therapy, occupational therapy, pre-k and kindergarten preparation programs, parent or caregiver support, social skills groups, and functional living skills groups.
Our practice is family- and child-centered and sensitive to the challenges that living with autism presents families with. Our clinicians work collaboratively with one another — and, at your request, with clinicians outside our practice — to provide the highest quality of care. We believe that collaboration is critical to the success of a child. We further believe that a well-supported family is better able to support a child with autism.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is autism?
Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), is a broad range of challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech, and nonverbal communication triggered by genetic and environmental factors.
People with autism may have varying abilities, and some people with autism require lifelong support, while others can live independently.
What is ABA therapy?
Based on the science of learning and behavior, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) helps us understand behavior, learning, and how a child’s environment affects both.
ABA therapy applies our understanding of behavior to real situations — aiming to increase behaviors that are helpful and decrease behaviors that are harmful or that affect learning.
ABA therapy programs can help improve language and communication skills, attention, focus, social skills, memory, and academics. It can also help decrease challenging behaviors.
Why Alternatives ABA instead of other ABA therapy providers?
Unlike other basic ABA therapy centers, Alternatives ABA is a multi-specialty clinical practice — which means our clinical team has the ability to offer comprehensive treatment for autism under one roof.
Having ABA therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and social and living skills programming all in one place is more convenient for parents and fosters collaboration and coordination of care — which, in turn, produce better outcomes for our kids. Research shows that outcomes improve when these targeted therapies are combined and clinicians collaborate.
We also believe very strongly in strength-based programming. We look for your child’s individual strengths and build on those while addressing deficits. All too many times, when a child is behind developmentally, the focus is on what the child cannot do. Although we want to address those deficits, we also want to build on the strengths your child has. It is important not only for well-rounded development but also for your child’s self-esteem.
We believe in what is called “natural environment teaching.” We like to teach while children are doing what they do best — playing and having fun. We build more challenging programming into the natural environment and mix up some of the tough stuff with fun.
We believe strongly in teaching what we call “functional communication.” We view all behavior as a form of communication. Teaching kids how to effectively communicate their wants and needs in a socially appropriate way often results in a dramatic decrease in “maladaptive behavior.”
We work hard to take the pressure off of you with our uniquely flexible scheduling — we create family-centered care schedules so families don’t have to disrupt their lifestyles. We treat you like a partner. Our clinicians carry lower caseloads and have time to support you and listen to you.
Our team consists of Board Certified Behavior Analysts, extensively trained Registered Behavior Technicians, licensed speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists — but we view you as the most critical member of our team. We understand that you know your child best. We may know ABA, OT, and SLP better, but parents know their children best.
At Alternatives ABA, we treat your whole child and your whole family — not just a diagnosis scribbled in a chart.
